EU Forces Board Russian Shadow Fleet Tanker in Mediterranean
EU forces boarded another Russian shadow fleet tanker in the Mediterranean Sea, suspected of sailing under a false flag in breach of international maritime law. This is the sixth suspected Russian shadow-fleet vessel boarded by EU maritime forces in recent months.
The tanker, MV SUN, was seized after being found to be operating without proper documentation or identification. The move is seen as a significant escalation in the efforts to disrupt Russia’s ability to circumvent international sanctions and continue its military activities in the region.
Ukrainian Forces Repel Russian Attacks
Ukrainian forces have been engaged in intense battles with Russian troops on multiple fronts, successfully repelling ten attacks near Hrekivka in Luhansk region and Dibrova in Donetsk region. Two of these attacks are ongoing.
In the Slov’yans’k direction, Ukrainian forces stopped five enemy attacks in areas including Dibrova, Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Mykolayivka, and Riznykivka. Two battles continue.
Russian Forces Trapped on Kinburn Peninsula
Ukrainian forces have effectively trapped an estimated 2,500 Russian troops on the Kinburn Spit, forcing Russia to resupply its positions through a gauntlet of Ukrainian attacks. The Kinburn peninsula has become a key battleground in the war, with Ukraine seeking to cut off Russian supply lines and weaken their military presence.
Drone Strikes Target Russian Military Infrastructure
Ukrainian drones have been active over the past 24 hours, striking at Russian military infrastructure. A Ukrainian AN-196 Lyutyi deep-strike drone flew extremely low altitude over Yekaterinburg, Russia, before targeting a Wildberries logistics hub. Although the strike fell short of its target, it highlights Ukraine’s ability to reach deep into Russian territory.
In another operation, Ukraine struck one of the main launchers and a drone storage site at the Tsimbulova drone base in Oryol region. The Tsimbulov droneport is one of Russia’s largest and most important drone hubs, and its destruction will significantly impact Russia’s ability to launch attacks against Ukraine.
Resistance is NOT Futile
