Ukrainian Forces Strike Sanctioned Russian Oil Tanker MARQUISE
Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck the sanctioned tanker MARQUISE, the General Staff reported. The vessel, which flies the flag of Cameroon and transports Russian oil, was hit while drifting 210 kilometers southeast of the Russian city of Tuapse.
The MARQUISE had its AIS signal turned off and was likely waiting for a ship-to-ship transfer of petroleum products. According to the General Staff, the strike targeted the stern section, in the area of the propeller-rudder group and engine room.
