Sanctioned Vessel “imo-9083184/”>BIRTHE THERESI” Observed at St. Petersburg Oil Terminal.
On November 3, 2025, the BIRTHE THERESI (IMO imo-9083184/”>9083184), a vessel under sanctions, was detected by the FleetLeaks monitoring system at the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal. The ship remained in port for approximately 5.5 hours while loading an estimated 3,100 tonnes of refined products before departing on November 4.
St. Petersburg serves as a major hub for Russia’s petroleum exports through the Baltic Sea. The terminal’s strategic location provides direct access to European markets, making any sanctioned vessel activity here particularly significant.
This detection highlights how FleetLeaks continuously tracks vessel behavior near sanctioned ports and terminals, providing insight into ongoing export routes and compliance risks.
We’re currently developing a major expansion of FleetLeaks focused specifically on terminals—including live tracking of vessel activity nearby. Stay tuned for updates as we roll this out in the coming weeks.
